How the companion behaves
A companion that remembers your care, and admits what it doesn't know.
The hard part of a health companion is not how much it knows. It is knowing when to stay quiet, when to hand you to a person, and never pretending to remember something it doesn't.
- It knows the care you are actually in
- Your own stated goal, the matrix you are working through, which system is carrying the most burden and the name of the practitioner you actually see. Not a generic script with your first name in it.
- It will not invent what it does not know
- If there is no record of your care yet, ēpi says so and asks, rather than inferring a practitioner, a protocol or a history you never had. That is written into the prompt and held in place by a test.
- Your score is not a grade
- Burden scores are shown with their direction stated and are never read back at you as a mark out of ten. ēpi does not comment on your weight, your shape or your willpower.
- It hands you back to a person
- Anything that is a clinical decision goes to your practitioner, by design. The companion is there for the weeks in between, not instead of the appointment.

- ēpi records and organises what you tell it and connects you with regulated practitioners. It does not diagnose, prescribe or change medication.
- Evidence, not assertion
- A data map, a Data Protection Impact Assessment, a DCB0129 hazard log and a DTAC self-assessment sit behind the product, with the commands that prove each claim.
